Saffron is the crimson Stigma, picked from the flower of the Crocus Sativus. The stigma threads are then dried and ready to use as a seasoning or natural coloring for food.
Not all Saffron is created equal, whole threads are known for being the most potent and pure (compared to Saffron Powder which may have additives and loses much of its aroma and color). Our Pure Saffron Threads are harvested from Spain, Premium Grade full of aroma and color.

How to cook with Saffron
You can add Saffron directly to a dish, however traditionally it is infused in water to make a concentrate. To make the concentrate, steep the Saffron threads in a few tablespoons of boiling water for at least 5 minutes – this should bring out the color and aroma. That concentrate can be used to flavor or color all types of recipes like rice, stews and more. You can even use Saffron to flavor baked goods or create unique cocktails and even Saffron Tea.
