Try this Galil Sumac Pickled Red Onions Recipe!

Ingredients:

1 large red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 packet Galil Ground Sumac
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp LiOR Sea Salt
1/2 tsp LiOR Crushed Black Pepper
1-2 cloves garlic, smashed
Instructions:
1. Peel the red onion and slice it thinly. Separate the slices into individual rings.
2. In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, water, sumac, sugar, salt, black pepper and garlic. Heat over medium heat until it comes to a simmer. Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar and salt.
3. Add sliced red onions to the simmering pickling solution. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the onions slightly soften.
4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let cool to room temperature. Remove garlic cloves and transfer to a clean, sterilized jar. Pour the remaining liquid over the onions, ensuring they are completely submerged.
5. Seal the jar and refrigerate the pickled red onions for at least a few hours or, ideally, overnight. The longer they sit, the more the flavors will meld.

Serve and Enjoy!

They make a delicious addition to salads, tacos, sandwiches, grilled meats, and more.
