Ingredients

Instructions

  • 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • 2

Place the two Galil Matzos on the prepared baking sheet as your pizza bases.

  • 3

Spread an even layer (about 1/4 cup per matzo) of tomato sauce over each matzo.

  • 4

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly on top of the sauce. Top each with the mushroom slices and olives.

  • 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the matzo become crisp.

  • 6

Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with torn fresh basil and a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Notes

For best results, use fresh Galil Matzos and allow them to become nicely crisp in the oven. After baking, the pizza should be immediately topped with torn fresh basil and a light drizzle of Galil Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This helps enhance the flavors and keeps the basil bright and aromatic.

A well-timed addition of toppings not only makes the dish more flavorful but also improves its overall presentation, ensuring that your Matzo Pizza stands out as a memorable part of your Passover menu.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure to spread the tomato sauce evenly over each matzo. This helps create a uniform base so that every bite is consistently flavorful and prevents some areas from being too dry or overly saucy.
  • Use a good-quality shredded mozzarella for the best melt and flavor. A high-quality cheese ensures a smooth, creamy texture that covers the sauce perfectly while adding a rich taste.
  • Adjust the amount of mushroom slices and olive rings according to your taste. Adding just the right amount of these toppings helps maintain a balance between the savory elements and the fresh basil, creating a harmonious flavor in each bite.
