    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

    In a bowl, pour boiling water over the chopped Galil figs and let them soak for about 10 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.

    In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.

    In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

    Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well.

    Stir in the soaked Galil figs and vanilla extract, and chopped walnuts
