Jazz up your Chanukah celebrations with our Chocolate Filled Donuts! Golden-fried doughnuts, oozing with a delightful, no-fuss chocolate filling. This Dairy-Free and Nut-Free treat means no one misses out on the fun. Fry them up, fill them up, and watch as the magic unfolds in your kitchen.

    In a stand mixer, combine yeast, 1.5 tsps of sugar, ¼ cup of warm milk, and 2 tbsps of warm water. Let it sit until the yeast foams (about 5 minutes).

    Add 2 tbsps of sugar, 2 egg yolks, salt, vanilla extract, and 1 cup of flour. Mix on low with a dough hook for 2 minutes until well combined.

    Slowly add 3 tbsp oil with the mixer running. Mix thoroughly. Gradually incorporate UP TO 1 more cup of flour. Begin with ½ a cup and adjust with a tbsp more of flour at a time if the dough is too sticky, until a soft, smooth dough forms. Dough should pull away from the bowl sides. Knead for 3 minutes to ensure it's not sticky.

    Lightly oil a medium bowl. Place the dough in the oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1-1.5 hours).

    Flour your surface. Roll dough to a thickness of ¾ inch. Cut into 8 rounds or use a 2.5-3-inch cookie cutter. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for 45-50 minutes, until almost doubled in size.

    Working in small batches, heat 3-4 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F and fry each side for 45 seconds. Ensure temperature stays around 350°F.

    Drain doughnuts on paper towels. Let them cool slightly before filling.

    Using a toothpick or skewer, create a hole in the side of each doughnut. Fill with chocolate spread using a piping bag. Finish with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
